I wasn't aware of the noisy fan when I bought the charger. No information on the package nor the Internet about that.
The fan is needed for the fast charging, but the noise is so annoying that I immediately returned it and bought a GP Smart 2 instead. It's almost as fast, but silent. Even though I'd known there was a fan, I'd have been quit surprised of the hihg level of the noise.
